Thank you Luke for recording these great shows, this is 1 of 3 shows that was recorded by him. 1 of 2 2000 shows that he sent to me. What an amazing set this was. There was some difficulty in eq'ing this show b/c there are volume dips here and there that were hard to manipulate.

Upon request by a fellow board member, Luke, asked if someone could eq and splice the whole WAVs of a few of his shows. This was one of three that were done first. The other 2 shows are from 2000, 1 is done, the other is not spliced yet. I just need to upload the 1st 2000 show to the server. Thank you Luke for recording these shows! Us SDRE fans appreciate it!

Sunny Day Real Estate - UPDATED 1/9/10

10/11/09 @ The Henry Fonda Theatre, Hollywood, CA

What a night! I waited since June for this show to happen when they announced it. I almost didn't have a ticket till a few weeks before the show because the weekend they announced the show, it sold out in a few days. I was waiting for the following Monday to purchase my tix at the box office to avoid ticketbastard charges. Fortunately, by stroke of luck I explained my woes of not having a Sunny Day Real Estate ticket a month prior to the show to a classmate. This classmate told me that she couldn't go cause she was flying in from Japan that day!!! Woo hoo! She offered her ticket to me!!!

The time between the show selling out and September (about 3 months) I was stressing hard for a ticket. Thank you, Alina!!!

I met up with my buddy from class about 2 hour before the show and had dinner at B.C.D. which was a Korean soup restaurant off Wilshire. Pretty damn good! Inexpensive and a popular place to get good Korean soup. The time was nigh and we got into the show and found that a band had been added last minute called, "Dead Country." Not very good, extremely generic mallpunk = yawnfest. The Jealous Sound put on a pretty good set, it wasn't my thing but it was ok. Better than the 1st band at least. I did record The Jealous Sound but haven't gotten around to splicing that show yet. Turns out that Pedro worked at 1k Studios w/my buddy Tyrone. Tyrone told me that Pedro even tried to help out a destitute Sean Roberts (Thirty Ought Six) but that didn't work out. Anyways, Sean is doing fine back in D.C. The show was great, they played a handful of Diary tunes and a pinch of LP2, I was happy. Prolly the most uplifting show for me in awhile.
