Thanks to my buddy, Armel, for introducing this wonderful female artist/musician. This is my 2nd recording of hers that I've done, which would make this my 3rd show of Kárin's that I've attended. I wish I recorded my first time watching her croon as she played a song that will never be the same (Tangier's). This particular night was a painful night for Kárin as she was suffering inner strife and outside turmoil. To tell you the truth I got a little "emo" for this performance cause of her suffering. Her emotions showed that evening in its glory.

Oh man, what a night. This was the night about good timing because El Ten Eleven were playing a free show 8 miles away @ a restaurant called "Home!!!" Actually, it does not include exclamations in the name of this place, so it's just, "Home." I emailed Kárin about set times thru myspace and she was supposed to be 1st. I think this was a CD release party for a band called Seasons (NOTE: I wasn't around to record Seasons).
Upon arriving at the Echo, my buddy (Armel) and I discovered that they switched set times for Kárin for the 2nd slot!! This was a possible monkey wrench for the evening. But Kárin played beautifully as always with the aid of her bandmates, Andrew and Thomas. The set was amazing. The 1st song, "Someday I Will Inform You" was awesome. In fact, Thomas (1-second time machine) asked for an mp3 of the song for the band to reference for recording the studio version!!! I was ecstatic making an mp3 of that song just for the band.
Now it is late summer, and I'm finally getting around to releasing this. Folks, I'm still backlogged in shows as you can see on the front page of my site. I'm trying to bang out more shows per weekend that goes by. I guess I should put a status on my front page re: this. Oh yeah, I do have another set of hers from June that I need to put up--that evening was the 1st time I saw [Post-Foetus]. Anyways enjoy this set by the wonderful Kárin Tatoyan. However, my buddy (Armel) and I did make it to the El Ten Eleven show right when they were finished sound checking!!! That set was an off night for them tho, it was the 1st time they played "Indian Winter" and "Marriage is the new going steady" live in CA.
